This is a unique opportunity for Catholics to learn how to outline and construct personal faith stories, obtain knowledge and skill for communicating the Gospel using scripture, the teachings of the Church and other resources, and grow in confidence and dependence on the Holy Spirit! Dave Nodar, Director of ChristLife is the author of Characteristics Of The New Evangelization. He has been teaching at conferences, parishes, and schools of evangelization in the U.S. and internationally for more than 30 years. Dianne Martin serves as Program Director of ChristLife and has been involved in pastoral ministry and teaching since 1981. “Before attending Sharing Christ I never thought about sharing my faith or if I did, dreaded it! Now I am actively looking for opportunities to share Christ with others! It worked!” "Those from St. Michael’s who participated in the recent Sharing Christ course are people filled with deep faith and conviction in the saving power of Jesus Christ and a desire to share this with others. Many also feel inhibited when it comes to actively sharing with others their love and gratitude for what Jesus has done for them. Sharing Christ was a marvelous opening for those seeking creative and concrete ideas and tools to help them evangelize effectively. The course grounded its approach to Catholic evangelization in documents such as papal encyclicals and letters from the U.S. bishops, and of course, Scripture.... I would highly recommend this course to any parish seeking to deepen its members’ awareness of our common call to be evangelists for Christ and to provide Holy Spirit-inspired tools solidly rooted in Scripture and Church tradition as a way to answer that call." “Anyone who has discovered Christ must lead others to him. A great joy cannot be kept to oneself. It has to be passed on.” "The small and enthusiastic staff of ChristLife has made a significant impact on evangelization across the United States. Their most recent contribution to the Church is Sharing Christ, a seven-session course designed to transform ordinary Catholics into everyday evangelists." "We are so greatful for the assistance of ChristLife, and for the "ready-to-go" Sharing Christ program. We had about 50-60 people, from all three of our churches, who attended the series faithfully. They were very enthusiastic about the new things they learned, about the format of input followed by group sharing and prayer, and about how well-organized the materials were. Particularly amazing to me was the way parishioners from St. Joachim, who are Lummi Indians, took to the program and are now filled with zeal to evangelize on the reservation. Everyone who participated now wants more -- both in education and in group sharing and prayer. The program from ChristLife has lit a fire under a lot of people here and I rejoice at what God is doing in our parishes because of it.... I have been talking [ChristLife] up to other pastors in my own diocese. The theology of the program is sound -- strongly based on scripture and papal documents, and the format is very user-friendly."
