ChristLife Internship Program

Introduction

ChristLife's internship program is for a Catholic young adult with a strong faith and love for Jesus, a willingness to learn, and a desire to spread the Gospel to others, especially young adults. Applicants should either be current college students or recently graduated.

The intern works on a variety of levels to advance the mission of ChristLife, which is two-fold:

1) to help others to discover, follow, and share Jesus Christ in the Catholic Church; and
2) to equip dioceses, parishes, small faith communities, and young adults to evangelize.

Type of Work

Key tasks include developing ChristLife's podcasts and supporting the administration and execution of ChristLife young adult community events. Interns also support the work of ChristLife on a general level through secretarial work; communications projects; event planning, preparation, and execution; and help with web and graphic design projects.

Finally, and most importantly, interns participate in the life of ChristLife, which begins everyday with 30-40 minutes of praise and worship and intercession in ChristLife's chapel.

Commitment

The program is generally part-time, with a typical intern working 16-24 hours per week (2-3 days). A monthly stipend is potentially available based on ChristLife's current finances. (We depend on our heavenly Father!) Fund-raising for living expenses is an option that can be discussed. An applying intern should have the disposition of a "local missionary."

The length of the internship has varied from 3-9 months (1-3 semesters). Start and end dates are proximate to a typical college schedule. The applicant's availability and interest, in terms of the length of the internship, should be stated in the cover letter.
