February 2002
Dear Friends,
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Let me share with you about 3 Rs of evangelization.
Number 1 RADICAL. What is it that causes us to want to share the Gospel with others? It is the knowledge of the radical love of God for me and every human being. The more lost, uncertain and seemingly without hope we are, the more God wants us to know that we matter to him and that we have a Father in heaven who knows OUR name! Radical Love--because it is undeserved, unmerited, forgiving, generous maximus, his gift, his initiative
.And it is so because Jesus has lived, died rose, ascended, andsent the Holy Spirit,-Gods Radical love, into your hearts so that we can literally cry out, Daddy, dear Daddy! (Romans 8:15) Who wouldnt share with others this good news?
Number 2: RISK. This radical love causes us to take risks. To overcome our natural tendency to fear being perceived as stupid or ashamed of being considered a religious fanatic by our peers, if we share about Gods love for them. But with the knowledge of what Jesus has done for me, comes the grace, courage and responsibility to make the Lord known to those he cameto save
.people just like us, who havent had a chance to meet Jesus. Someone needs to introduce them to him!
Number 3: REVOLUTION. In case you havent noticed, Jesus is about a revolution in the Church! This revolution takes place one person at a time and begins within each of our hearts. The Holy Spirit has led the Church to a revolutionary re-launching of the mission of evangelization
of telling others about the Love the Father has for them in the Lord Jesus, through the power of the Spirit, so that they might live as members of his Body, making his love known to all. It is a revolution in the church that is to spill over into our society with this same love. It is a revolution of the Love of God calling each person to know him and make him known!
Lets join the revolution right where he has placed us. Ask and expect Jesus to give you an opportunity to risk for His Love!
Your brother,
Your brother,
Dave Nodar

Quote of the Month
"It would be useful if every Christian and every evangelizer were to pray about the following thought: men can gain salvation also in other ways, by Gods mercy, even though we do not preach the Gospel to them; but as for us, can we gain salvation if through negligence, fear or shame...or as a result of false ideas we fail to preach it? For that would betray the call of God, who wishes the seed to bear fruit through the voice of the ministers of the Gospel."
Pope Paul VI
Evangelii Nuntiandi, 80
Prayer Needs
For the Holy Spirit to bring about in all Christians the same passion for the lost that God has!
For the Church to practically and courageously reach out and respond to the openness and needs expressed by so many people today with the TRUE meaning of life found only in Jesus Christ, her Lord!
