Dear friends in Jesus- I hope you're having a great summer. I would like to share with you a few updates on the work and ministry of ChristLife. Appeal & New online store!We need your help. For the last several weeks we've been unable to receive online donations, but, we're back up and running, so please visit our online store to see what's new! The Discover seriesFor the past six weeks we've been running Discover (Discovering Christ) in a bar in Ellicott City, MD. Me and a group of about 15 young adults decided we wanted to bring the Gospel to the people and places that most need to hear about Jesus Christ. Each week about 25-30 young adults have gathered: faithful Catholics, other Christians, those on the sidelines of faith, the unchurched, 1-2 people from different religious backgrounds. On Saturday we had a small group of the young adults attend the Holy Spirit retreat and my wife Ally had the great joy of praying with one participant to make a first time commitment of her life to Jesus. Thank you Father! This past Monday, we prayed at the bar with a few others that missed the retreat. One guy commented how wild it was to be prayed over in the same spot he had played beer pong in the past. Ha :) Praise God! This Monday is the last session, "Why do we need the Church?" Please pray for the power of the Holy Spirit for me as I give the talk and the rest of the team who leads small groups. Following Christ & Spring 2011 ConferenceOur goal is to complete Following Christ this fall. In order to do this we need to raise $40K for the video production, while continuing to live month to month on our Father's provision. Lord, here, we only have 'five loaves and two fish.' As a lead-up to the production, we are running Following Christ at St. Louis on Thursday nights beginning August 26. Contact Leo for more information.
With Following Christ completed this fall, we will, for the first time, release the full ChristLife evangelization process at a Spring 2011 conference. We are really excited! We believe Discovering, Following, & Sharing Christ are such great contributions to the Church, and we feel so privileged to share these resources (and our very lives) with you. Dave sends his greetings from AlaskaOur Director, Dave Nodar, has been in Alaska for the last week or two visiting a friend. (I'm sure he's missing the near 100 degree heat we've been having daily here on the East Coast :)
