June 8, 2010 Dear brothers & sisters, I hope this note finds you well, and at peace in the Lord Jesus. Let me take a minute of your time, to share some of the latest and greatest here at ChristLife. This summer we are hosting Discovering Christ, under the name Discover, in a bar in Ellicott City, MD for young adults. This is such an exciting initiative: to meet people where they are and invite them to explore the beauty of friendship with Jesus. The series is at the Diamondback Tavern and runs seven Monday nights, June 14 - July 26, from 7-9pm. Would you consider helping out with Discover in a few really practical ways? 1. Spread the word to young adults in your life who are unchurched or are struggling in their faith. The event is not for mature Christians or Catholics, but is really for people on the fringes of, or outside of faith in Christ. We've designed a Web site for the series at http://discover2010.com. Discover is also on Facebook. 2. Intercede for the young adults leadership team and ChristLife as they prepare for the course and as they evangelize friends and strangers to the course. Download a prayer card and pray it daily. We also need committed intercessors for this series. Will you help out? Respond to this email or call us at 410.531.7701 You would receive weekly updates on the progress of the course and identified prayer needs. 3. Sponsor one young adult by donating $65. We anticipate hosting 40-60 young adults for seven weeks in a row and need to raise $3,000 to support the room charge each week, marketing costs, and the labor costs ChristLife is incurring in presenting live talks and running the whole program. Visit http://discover2010.com/support to donate to the program. We are very excited about the Discover series and the spread of Discovering, Following, & Sharing Christ. We have lots of other new reports to share, but that will have to wait till our summer newsletter (which will be sent out in the 2 weeks). It is truly a privilege to be involved in this work in a daily way. Thank you for your intercession, donations, and most of all your brotherhood and sisterhood in the Lord Jesus. Your brother, Dave Nodar
